Hopscotch film screening during 'Space for Action'

Monday 27th November, 5-6.30pm
Ceremony Room, Speirs Centre, Alloa,

We are delighted to be taking part in the Scottish launch of 'Hopscotch', a film exploring racist, sexist and Islamophobic street harassment. Hopscotch is presented by Amina - Muslim Women's Resource Centre and Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre, based on a poem by Nadine Aisha Jassat (Nadine Aisha) and made by award-winning filmmaker Roxana Vilk.

Following a screening of the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring representatives from Amina - MWRC, Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre, and Hollaback discussing street harassment and gender based violence, and intersections with racism and islamophobia. Afterwards there will be a chance to take part in workshops exploring bystander intervention, self care and creative writing.

Check out this blog to find out more about the film, or watch the trailer.
Speirs Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
This event takes place as part of Space for Action, our exhibition during the 16 Days of Action.
